61% of Finns use streaming video services, the country’s residents named Netflix the most beloved, according to a survey by Bilendi, commissioned by communications operator DNA.
“When asked about their favorite streaming service, 68% of all Finns chose Netflix. Netflix is especially popular among 25-35 year olds, 80% of whom chose it as their favorite. Yle Areena (a public broadcaster service, paid with a special mandatory tax by every resident of the country), was the second most popular service overall and the best choice for seniors: 66% of respondents aged 65 to 75 named Yle Areena the best streaming service, ”says in the message.
Among the youngest age group (18-24), YouTube was the most popular service.
According to the survey, 61% of Finns use video streaming services as often as they watch regular TV.
“Netflix has established itself as a ‘staple service’ in Finnish homes and many of our customers include it in their broadband packages. According to the survey, subscribing to other services and switching from one service to another is especially common when a new series starts or a new sports season begins: 37% of respondents said they change services at least once every three months, ”explains the vice president DNA for the entertainment business Mikko Saarentaus, his words are given in the message.
Data collection for the survey was carried out in the form of an online survey on April 9-13. The target group was made up of Finns between the ages of 18 and 75, and quotas were set for the survey sample to represent at the national level by gender, age and place of residence. A total of 1000 interviews were conducted.
