Finland allowed, in the context of a pandemic, to call for repairs of ships from Russia until October 31

Finland allowed, in the context of a pandemic, the entry of pleasure boats and ships from Russia for winter service and docking until October 31, according to the country’s Border Guard.
Every year, dozens of Russian-owned vessels undergo maintenance or winter storage in Finland.
“The arrival of pleasure boats or boats in Finland from third countries outside the EU and the Schengen area for winter service and docking will be allowed from September 15 to October 31, 2021. At the same time, entry into the country is also allowed for the crew of a pleasure boat or a vessel in the minimum composition necessary for safe navigation, ”the message says.
The border guards remind that the entry of a pleasure boat or boat into Finland requires prior notification, and health officials are responsible for ensuring sanitary security measures at checkpoints.
At the same time, the Finnish border guards remind about the restrictions on border crossing in Russia.
“The commander and / or the owner of a pleasure boat or vessel must independently find out the restrictions on crossing the border, which may operate, for example, in Russia,” the message says.
