Theft of $ 4.2 million during the repair of the building of the cultural center of Russia in Finland was commented in Russia

The organization for the development of cultural relations of Russia, the owner of the building in the center of Helsinki – Rossotrudnichestvo is conducting legal proceedings for violations in the repair of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Finland, said the head of the RCSC Sergei Malyshev.
On Monday, REN-TV reported the theft of $ 4.36 million during major repairs at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Finland. As it turned out, one of the representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in Finland, together with the management of the contracting company, signed documents that the work was completed. For allegedly carried out major repairs, $ 4,362,800 was transferred to the contractor’s accounts, the television channel said, adding that only 10% of the required repairs had been completed.
“The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Finland revealed facts of serious breaches of obligations on the part of the General Contractor under the State Contract for the repair of the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Helsinki. It is primarily about violation of the repair deadlines and claims to the quality of work performed. Since 2018, Rossotrudnichestvo has been conducting litigation in the Moscow Arbitration Court, until which all payments and work with the General Contractor have been suspended. All materials on the revealed facts of violations were transferred to the investigating authorities for appropriate verification, ”said Malyshev.
