Finnish Metso Outotec to supply equipment worth €100 mln to Uzbekistan

Finnish engineering company Metso Outotec has signed a contract with an enterprise in Uzbekistan for the supply of equipment worth over 100 million euros, the Finnish company said on Monday.
“Metso Outotec has signed a contract to supply key process technologies for the copper-gold-molybdenum concentrator complex of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical company in Almalyk, in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. The planned capacity of the plant, located near the Yoshlyk-1 deposit, is 60 million tons per year. The cost of the contract exceeds 100 million euros,” the company reports.
Metso Outotec is a Finnish mechanical engineering group that provides solutions for the processing industries, including mining, oil and gas, pulp and paper, aggregate production and recycling. Metso Outotec is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, employs over 15,000 people in more than 50 countries and has sales of about 4.2 million euros in 2021. The company’s shares are traded on the Nasdaq Helsinki stock exchange.
