Finnair monitors the situation in Ukraine, continues to use the airspace

The Finnish airline Finnair does not operate flights to Ukraine, but continues to use the country’s airspace, Pauliina Palttala, a representative of the carrier’s press service, told us.
“Monitoring airspace development is an integral part of our flight planning.

We use the airspace of the westernmost part of Ukraine on some flights. We do not use the airspace of the eastern part of Ukraine. We also do not have flights to Ukraine – Kiev, for example, is not a destination in our network,” she said.
The representative of the company was also unable to explain the possible routes in the event of the closure of Ukrainian airspace for civil aviation, given that European carriers are already avoiding the airspace of Belarus.
